We love dogs and well behaved adult dogs may be considered with a small additional charge for cleaning. However, please note that the gardens of the gites are not enclosed and deer regularly walk through the grounds. Please contact us in advance if you wish to bring your pet.

The Tour de France often passes by close to us, so it is no surprise that cycling remains a very popular way to explore the region. If guests don’t bring their own bikes, there are a number of cycle hire businesses in the area that we can put you in touch with.

Our salt water swimming pool is fully enclosed on all sides and benefits from a special liner that helps to heat the pool. The pool temperature is normally between 24 and 28 degrees during the Summer months.
As well as sun loungers and chairs around the pool area, there is also a selection of inflatables and guests will find pool towels provided for their convenience in their gite upon arrival. Both Mirabel and Latour gites have access to the pool which is exclusively for guest use.

Of course! The upstairs bedrooms of Mirabel Gite are ‘zip and link’, which allows us to convert them into twin beds, upon request. Please let us know in advance if you would prefer twin beds to be made up.

Please note that we are not able to accommodate requests for sofa or put-me up beds.

We realise that in spite of our glorious rainfall showers, some people just prefer a bath! Yes - if you would prefer access to a bath during your stay, you need to book Petite Mirabel (and ensure that you allocate yourself Bedroom 2 upstairs!).

We have a cot and high chair available for guest use. Just let us know in advance and we will have them ready waiting for you in your gite, upon arrival.

There are two gites situated in the grounds of the Chateau. Each has its own private seating and barbecue areas. The swimming pool, petanque court and table tennis facilities are shared with other guests.

Guests are free to explore the gardens and grounds and we have installed beautiful cast iron Arras benches around the parkland and grounds, so that guests can sit and enjoy their surroundings in traditional French style.

We have an ambitious masterplan to restore the wider grounds and its features, such as the Fontaine and Lavoir, but even now, it is a place of beauty, teeming with nature. The 7 hectares of gardens and grounds require regular maintenance, so there will, from time to time be gardeners at work in the wider grounds. However, the gite gardens are maintained on 'changeover days' to ensure minimum disruption to guests.

We live all year round in the main house and are always happy to help guests with any queries they may have during their stay. Some guests have requested the opportunity to tour the gardens with us and learn more about the history of the house and our plans for its restoration.
However, by the same token, we understand that some guests prefer to be left alone and enjoy their holiday without someone asking them every five minutes if everything is alright! We will take our lead from you.

We realise that every group of guests that we welcome will be different and may have particular requirements or needs. Birthday cakes, private chefs, recommendations for restaurants… If we can facilitate it, we will!
